چکیده
Abstract Single- and multicomponent liquid fuels are injected in a jet-in-coflow configuration at elevated temperatures pressures with both custom plain orifice nozzle commercial pressure-swirl atomizer. The transitions spray morphology from mechanical breakup to superheated/supercritical regimes characterized qualitatively by laser shadowgraphy evaluated based on quantitative measures of superheat. Although fuel preheating exhibits no discernible effect the regime, dramatic jet-to-plume transition as well build-up vapor chamber is observed increasing level difference between two different atomizers terms behavior diminishes high levels superheat, suggesting predominant role thermal regimes. For mutlicomponent such Jet A-1, into fully flashing occurs lower than expected values, which calculated treating A-1 single-component fuel. Additionally, pressure drop shown sensitive indicator for departure onset spray. Comparisons measured estimated also reveal differences susceptibility effects atomizers.

Superheated liquid and supercritical denatured ethanol extraction of antioxidants from Crimson red grape stems
Grapes are widely known for health benefits due to their antioxidant content. In wine production, grape stems are often discarded, though they has a higher content of antioxidants than the juice. The effectiveness of using an environmentally friendly solvent, ethanol, as a superheated liquid and supercritical fluid to extract antioxidant compounds from grape stems of organically grown Crimson S...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Bubble Nucleation in Superheated Liquid-Liquid Emulsions
An investigation of the process by which bubbles form in superheated liquid-liquid emulsions is reported. A theoretical model for the rate of bubble nucleation is developed that is valid for any binary liquid system. Because of the interesting "microexplosion" phenomenon postulated to occur during combustion of fuel/water emulsions, special attention is focused on hydrocarbon/ water/surfactant ...
متن کاملGamma ray Sensitivity of Superheated Liquid
INTRODUCTION The superheated drop detector (SDD) is composed of droplets of a sensitive liquid with low-boiling point and a medium supporting the droplets dispersed throughout the medium. The SDD has been mainly used for neutron dosimetry and recently also for γ -rays. However the conditions of bubble formation have been discussed for neutrons but there have been a little works for gamma-rays. ...
